UNITS OP MEASUREMENT Metric or system international (S.I.) units of measurement shall be employed in all correspondence, Technical Schedules and drawings. Angular measurement shall be in degrees, with 90° comprising one right angle. 1.7 LANGUAGE English Language shall be used in all documents contained in the Tender and in all correspondence between the Contractor and DES. Whenever any item is required under the terms of the Contract to be written, marked, printed or engraved, the English language shall be used except where otherwise stated in the specification. 1.8 CORRESPONDENCE All correspondence on matters arising out of the Contract shall be addressed by the Contractor to:- The Director, Department of Electrical Services, Old Airport Road, Berakas, Bandar Seri Begawan BB3510, Negera Brunei Darussalam. 1.9 SAFETY OF PERSONNEL The Contractor shall provide a full time Safety Officer having the necessary competency and experience to the approval of the Engineer at site. Maximum safety precautions consistent with good erection practice in all site works must be afforded to the personnel directly engaged on this Contract. A Safety Manual shall be submitted by the Contractor to DES for approval before commencement of site work. All such safety requirements shall conform strictly to the prudent occupational safety and health regulations and pertinent industry practices being adopted.
